Below I will add small changes I am making to make my life more intentional during these 100 days (and hopefully permanently). My theme overall is "If it's not a priority to bettering my life then it isn't going to be on my list."
How I plan to be intentional over the next 100 days includes -
1. Spend time each day building my relationship with God. I will read my daily devotionals as well as extra verses and chapters from the Bible. I will also use my time to listen to my Christian/worship music instead of watch unnecessary TV shows. I am able to read the bible from anywhere using YouVersion.
2. I will be intentional with my family. Because I am a working mom, I realize that my child is spending more time during the weekdays with his daycare mom instead of me (thank goodness he has a GREAT daycare mom!). My theme over the next 100 days is "quality...not quantity." I intentionally use the time I have with my husband and my little boy to make our family stronger.
3. Our family is going to be intentional with our finances. We have been on a tight budget for the past year since I took a job that was a 50% pay cut for me. Now that we have daycare to pay and my THREE school loans to pay back our budget is VERY tight. Following the wisdom of Dave Ramsey is going to be our lifesaver. We will be limiting our extra expenses, eating out, and spending.
4. Eating only REAL food. That includes food that has no artificial sweeteners, refined carbs/sugars, additives, added colors, or items that are highly processed. I should be able to look at my plate and distinctively know which food group each food I'm eating belongs in. If the food has a label, there should be no more than 5 ingredients and I should be able to pronounce them all. (I am getting lots of help from 100 Days of Real Food).
5. Get back in shape by doing some kind of workout EACH day. I just don't have time anymore to go to the gym at 5:30am and then go back for another 2 hours after work. I will be intentional with the little time I have to get my workouts in and still get back in the shape I had been in before.
6. I will be intentional with the time I spend with my friends and others I mentor. I've always said that I will spend time investing in the people in my life as long as it's going to benefit my life in some way and/or I will see that they are taking time to invest in me as well. I've wasted too much time in my life on friendships/relationships that were either not good for me or caused too much unnecessary drama. I will also spend my time mentoring to kids in Run the Streets.
